Mama Mocha Smoothie


Some times miracles happen and I am awake and ready before either of my children are up. Then I can sneak downstairs for a cup of coffee and maybe a few minutes to read a book or a magazine before the hustle and bustle of the day begins. I think being a parent is the toughest job you'll ever love and the biggest mountain you'll ever climb. While amazing, it's also hard and messy and gritty. We have to sneak in those moments for ourselves when we can, to refuel us and build us up, so we can give again.  In honor of all the {AMAZING} mothers out there I created this smoothie to help you start your day. Happy Mother's Day Mamas!

Mama Mocha Smoothie
Ingredients:
1 Frozen Banana (a little mood booster)
6 - 8 oz cold Coffee (for a little kick and so you don't have to share with your kids)
1/4 cup Spinach (just enough so you can call it healthy)
1 tbsp Nut or Seed Butter (a little healthy protein to get you going and fill you up)
1/4 cup Chocolate Chips (mmm chocolate)
Almond or Coconut Milk for thinning, if needed.

Add all of the ingredients to a blender and whizz until smooth and creamy.  Pour into a glass or coffee mug (I find this lessens the attempted mooching).  Makes one big smoothie.  Enjoy!
