Kelsey's interest in nutrition started while coaching downhill ski racing. She wanted to know what foods athletes needed to fuel their bodies. While living in NYC, Kelsey worked at a nutrition school with an in-house chef. Her favorite part of the day was talking with the chef at lunch. This is where she learned many of her culinary skills. As a Wisconsin native, Kelsey is happy to be back in Madison. In her spare time, she can be found reading cookbooks, knitting, running, and enjoying time outside with her two lively boys.
Leanne loves to cook and loves to teach! She taught elementary students for 7 years before deciding to stay home with her own kids. Now she enjoys spending time with them around Madison and at home, including letting them help in the kitchen, just as she did when she was young. Leanne also enjoys gardening, reading, and spending time outdoors.
Sarah and her family are avid Brewers, Packers, and Badger fans who enjoy taking road trips to watch their favorite teams play. Her two curious kids like to help in the kitchen and keep close watch on their garden outside. After bringing her daughter to a Yummy Sprout class, Sarah was inspired to join the team as an instructor. Now she looks forward to helping you and your kids try new recipes with Yummy Sprout!!
Sabrina is an avid cooker and baker who enjoys experimenting with recipes to make them healthier. She recently graduated from UW-Madison with a degree in Dietetics and Nutritional Sciences and hopes to become a registered dietitian in the future. She currently works as a personal trainer and triathlon coach. In her free time she likes to swim, bike and run to train for triathlons and Ironman races. Some of her other hobbies include sewing, photography and crocheting.
Zarmeen is a current graduate student with a passion for cooking and science. An NYC native, she finds joy in experiencing cuisine from all corners of the world and in her spare time, she can be found experimenting in the kitchen with various recipes handed down to her from friends and family. When she's not in the kitchen or in the lab, she can be found spending time with her friends at the local coffee shops (there is no such thing as too much coffee, decaf of course!) And as a student in science, she understands the importance of eating healthy on a budget and is very excited to make healthy and budget friendly options accessible to people of all ages.
Jessica is a kindergarten teacher in the Madison area. After a long day of teaching she loves to come home and try out new and healthy dinner recipes. Her love of cooking and baking started when she was little helping her grandma in the kitchen. When she isn’t teaching or cooking she enjoys playing volleyball, cheering on her favorite Wisconsin sports teams, and spending time with friends and family. She is excited to use her teaching skills to share the joy of cooking with more kids and their families!
