Tara Charlotte

Owner, Programming Manager, Instructor

Tara started Yummy Sprout in 2009 after careers in Early Childhood, Marketing and studying Nutrition and how food plays such an important role in health and happiness. What started as a food blog with the goal of bringing healthy easy recipes to families has grown into a business that includes culinary classes, camps, events, parties, field trips and more. Passionate about inspiring others to cook, Tara has been featured in the Wisconsin State Journal, on WISC-TV. Madison Moms Blog and NBC15 on topics including homemade baby food, cooking with kids, packing healthy lunches and allergy-friendly food.  She is also a founder and co-director of Creative Soul Camp.  Her favorite ways to spend time include messing up her kitchen while recipe testing, running, yoga, writing, painting, traveling and reading books.

Abby Vitou

Abby is a current student at UW-Madison at the business school studying information systems and data science. She is originally from Michigan and has always loved being in the kitchen trying new recipes with her friends and family. She grew up as a picky eater but slowly learned to experiment with new flavors and ingredients. In her free time she loves to run (anytime and anywhere), go to cycling classes, and watch lots of good movies with her friends.

Jessica Martins

Jessica is a kindergarten teacher in the Madison area. After a long day of teaching she loves to come home and try out new and healthy dinner recipes. Her love of cooking and baking started when she was little helping her grandma in the kitchen. When she isn’t teaching or cooking she enjoys playing volleyball, cheering on her favorite Wisconsin sports teams, and spending time with friends and family. She is excited to use her teaching skills to share the joy of cooking with more kids and their families!
