Tara Charlotte

Owner/ Program Manager

Tara started Yummy Sprout in 2010 with the goal of sharing healthy, easy recipes and it now has grown into a business that includes culinary classes, camps, events, parties, field trips and more. With a Bachelor of Arts degree and over 20 year experience working with children she is passionate about inspiring others to cook, having been featured in the Wisconsin State Journal, on WISC-TV, Madison Moms Blog, WPR and NBC15 on topics including homemade baby food, cooking with kids, packing healthy lunches and allergy-friendly food. She is also a founder and co-director of Creative Soul Camp. Her favorite ways to spend time include cooking with her family, trivia, yoga, writing, painting, traveling, reading books and taking her dogs for walks.

Hailey Shevitz

Culinary Instructor

Hailey is a junior at UW Madison majoring in International Studies and Spanish with certificates in French and Leadership. As the oldest child in her family, Hailey is used to being around children and enjoys finding creative ways to teach and learn. She brings with her a great love of the outdoors, a drive to work hard and try new things, and a curiosity about languages and exploring the world! As a Pittsburgh, PA native, Hailey is excited to become a part of the Yummy Sprout Team and grow her connections with the lovely families who call Wisconsin home

Allyssa Thao

Social Media Manager/ Culinary Instructor

Allyssa is currently a student at UW-Madison majoring in Information Science while also pursuing a certificate in Digital Studies. Coming from a large family, she has grown up helping her mom and relatives cook. She is looking forward to learning and exploring new things with Yummy Sprout. In her spare time, Allyssa enjoys listening to music, spending time with her friends and family, and playing video games.

Tehya Crego

Supply Team Lead/ Culinary Instructor

Tehya is currently a 3rd year veterinary student at UW Madison's School of Veterinary Medicine. She has always loved cooking and baking, from making her dad's famous 30 pound lasagna to baking pies and tarts with her Uncle. It's both exciting and important to her to know what goes into her food and to help kids discover those things through cooking. In her free time she enjoys hiking, travelling, playing violin, and spending time with her chinchillas, Bean and Beignet!

Kaycia Zimmerman

Culinary Instructor

Food. Kitchen. Cook. Bake. Eat. These are the words that get Kaycia excited the most! Since a very young age, she has loved being in the kitchen. Her favorite form of gift giving is sharing culinary delights with those she loves. She is stoked to be joining Yummy Sprout this spring! When not at camps, you can find her at farmer’s markets, coaching basketball, tending to her garden, or helping out on her family’s farm!

Hannah Kietzman

Culinary Instructor

Hannah is a current junior at St. Olaf College majoring Political Science and Environmental Studies. A Dane County native, Hannah has always loved baking and cooking for her family and friends. She was active in the Dane County 4H food project through middle and high school. During her spare time she loves reading and crocheting.

Francesca Ipsaro

Culinary Instructor

Francesca is a recent graduate from UW-Madison with a Bachelor's degree in Social Work, that focused on policy and administration. This fall she will be starting her Master's degree in Social Work at UW-Madison and is excited to continue her studies specializing in child and family welfare. During her free time Francesca enjoys crafting, baking, and going to the park or hiking with her dog! She also enjoys playing piano or spending time with her family.
